JunoMagic on Henneth_Annun wanted to start an alphabet drabble. so here's my help:

author-nancylea57
title-qute and quazzy
theme-literacy alpha drabbles
element-Q
summary-quirky qiaqs
word count-100

Quaint northern tribe who lived in the frozen lands had no trees and used driftwood to built boats. On the next trip to Annuminas, we silly hobbit tweens from the Shire built the frame. Took us all summer, collecting and whittling it into shape. Uncle Merry laughed and said we'd need a mumak to get a big enough skin to cover the thing. Got word today, Uncle Aragorn knew a man from the arid desert who knew a man from the steamy jungle... all it's going cost us is letting the ambassador from Far Harad ride in our newly finished umaiQ.

post script -- kayak (inuit) male boat-- one or two seater model for hunters
umiaq (inuit) female boat-- seats twenty, hauls entire camp.

Oh, wow! I adore that.

Inuit has all those odd q's ... Spiffy linguistics, that. Great!

Well done! I wondered how to manage Q. I love this - especially 'Uncle Aragorn knew a man from the arid desert who knew a man from the steamy jungle...'

Hee hee hee, Q was probably the hardest letter of the alphabet to tackle! Well done!
